Lakeside Youth is a ministry of Lakeside Church in the north end of Guelph, Ontario.
The best way to stay in touch with all that’s going on is to grab a copy of our monthly calendar, or check it out online here!
If you’re a parent, another great way to keep in touch is by joining our parent’s email list – simply select the ministry you’d like to subscribe to and you’ll receive weekly updates about all that’s happening in detail!
We are a community of Jr. High and High School students committed to experiencing and sharing authentic life in Jesus Christ.
What to expect at an average night of Fuse (Gr. 9-12):
Often we’ll start out with some hangout time, an icebreaker or game of some sort. We’ll then enter into a time of musical worship (with our student ministry band) and teaching. After this, we then head into small groups (divided by grade and gender) for a time to talk about what we’ve heard and how to apply it to our lives.
Sometimes the order or elements get mixed around or changed, but the heartbeat is all the same – it’s all about connecting with God and with others!
What to expect at an average night of Pulse (Gr. 6-8):
We almost always start off the night with some high energy games, as well as food and hangout time. On some weeks we have music with our Pulse worship band, and then teaching, and then on other weeks we go straight into teaching. After that we spend 15 minutes or so talking in small groups (divided by grade and gender) about what we’ve heard.
Pulse also has regular Friday night events. Past events have included glow-in-the-dark games nights, “Mission:Impossible” (we black out the entire church!) and all-nighters!
